Located on the picturesque touring route the Snowy Valleys Way, Tumbarumba is about half way between Sydney and Melbourne, making it the ideal place to take a break and soak up the mountain air. The Snowy Valleys Way branches from the Hume Highway at Gundagai before taking in the Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, Corryong, Tallangatta, Yackandandah and Beechworth, before rejoining the Hume Freeway outside Wangaratta.

Around a 90 minute drive from both Wagga Wagga and Albury, our nearest major centres, Tumbarumba has all the facilities you might need for your stay including supermarkets, chemist, cafes, banks, petrol stations, auto service and repairs, hardware, and much more.

Tumbarumba is a town that truly experiences the four seasons. Spring’s green hills are dotted with bouncing lambs, bud-burst on the vines, and wonderful gardens – a riot of colour with fresh blooms. Summer is mostly cooler than elsewhere in the Riverina Murray, and our wonderful shady trees, local pool and popular swimming holes provide opportunities to keep the temperature under control. In Autumn, the spectacular deciduous trees turn parks and streets golden then red, adding an extra dimension to strolls, wanders, rides and drives. Winter is cold, but offers the chance to experience the winter wonderland that is the Snowy Mountains.
